Designed and painted by Lorain County artist Helen Wald as part of the Patchwork Trails barn quilt project.
Installed on the grounds of the New Union Center for the Arts in downtown Oberlin, this quilt square was inspired by the Center's distinctive windows and architecture and its sandstone and brick construction.

The Artist as Quiltmaker XVI:
The Artist as Quiltmaker is the second-longest-running art quilt exhibition in the world. AQM XVI was open from May 11 through July 27, 2014.
Seven other exhibitions were on view in Oberlin concurrently with AQM. The full list is available here.
