FAVA's Gallery Shop

GENERAL INFORMATION

Uncommon Objects features original handcrafted contemporary art which enhances the exhibition and educational mission of FAVA. It is located on the first floor of FAVA Galleries in the New Union Center for the Arts.
Artists interested in selling their work through the store are invited to contact Kyle Michalak, Assistant Director for more information at (440) 774-7158.

MISSION STATEMENT

Uncommon Objects, a program of the Firelands Association for the Visual Arts, provides a venue for local, state and regional artists to display and sell handcrafted, original, contemporary art. Our Selection Committee ensures that the work is of either one-of-a-kind or of high quality and original contemporary design. Artists represented in the store have made a commitment to the arts.

SUBMITTING WORK

All work submitted must include the following:
Current Resume with your background,education and experience
Artist statement, including biographical information and the nature of the work
Envelope with proper postage for return of slides or samples

Framed 2-dimensional work must also include:
Three to five good quality slides or digital images of the work you are submitting.
Please number each image and provide title of work, date of work, medium and size

Unframed handcrafted work must also include:
If work is small, three to five samples of submitted work
If work is large, slides or catalog of submitted work
