Posted on 03/29/17
The springtime is always filled with so many events around Oberlin, it can be overwhelming to choose what to do! This week on FAVA Radio, we talked about some of the exciting things coming up at FAVA.
This Saturday, April 1st is one of our Big Parade Workshops, which are FREE and open to anyone interested in participating in the parade! This weekend we welcome Leia von Honfeld, a local Oberlin artist, as our guest instructor. All materials are provided, and no registration is necessary-- just drop in any time between 1:30-4:30pm. Here is the Facebook event, and here is the full list of all workshops.
On Sunday, April 2nd, April 9th, and April 16th, stop by FAVA any time between 1:30-4:30pm for Drop-In Sewing. Need help mending a piece of clothing? Want to learn how to perfect your stitches? Our instructor Laurel Kirtz can help you out! The cost is $12/hour, or $6/hour for students who receive financial aid.
Next Saturday, April 8th, is our 18th Annual Festival of Fine Art & Fine Wine! The fundraising auction is always a hit, and you can walk away with a beautiful work of art while enjoying live music, hors d'oeuvres, and wine from around the world. Don’t miss the chance to get a great piece of artwork for a great price.
