FAVA and the Oberlin Public Library are partnering to bring this FREE workshop to the community. All materials will be provided. Registration required.
Drawing basic shapes in 3 dimensions is an important step in drawing development, and it allows students to sharpen their hand eye coordination. It is easier than most people think, too! In this class students will learn the basics of drawing 3D shapes such as cylinders, pyramids and cubes, then we will jazz things up by making our basic shapes into delicious desserts! We will use oil pastels to do this, since they blend so well and give a scrumptious texture to any drawing.

Louis Cunningham
Louis Cunningham is a full-time elementary art teacher with Lorain City Schools, and this is his fifth year working with FAVA! Before moving to Oberlin, Louis lived and taught in New Jersey, where he grew up. He attended Montclair State University in NJ, where he received both a Bachelor's Degree in Studio Art and a Master's Degree in Art Education. Louis is especially adept at illustration and cartooning, and his favorite medium is pen and ink, though watercolor paints are a close second favorite!
