This workshop will be focused on creating your own series of monoprints, utilizing a traditional printing press. No previous printmaking experience is necessary. Each student will learn to create prints using inks and natural objects such as fabric or leaves imbedded into the paper through the printing process, creating reliefs and textures. We will investigate monoprinting as an art form through different examples and demonstrations, and focus on the importance of material and color when composing a series. We will end the workshop with a light critique and an optional print trade. Each student will have their prints to take home at the end of the session!

**FAVA also encourages applicants to consider partial scholarship assistance, in which case the student only pays some portion of the class tuition.
All information will be kept confidential and will be used solely to determine the amount of scholarship assistance to be provided.
