Rigid Heddle Weaving 101

Rigid Heddle Weaving 101

Ages 12+

Friday February 3rd 5-7pm AND Saturday February 4th, 2023 from 1-4pm

A rigid heddle loom is a great way to start weaving. They are simpler to warp than a four harness floor loom, and can produce many types of woven items like scarves, fabric to sew, hand towels, etc. The looms themselves are generally also more inexpensive. Learn how easy rigid heddle warping, (dressing the loom), and weaving really is. Discuss how to calculate yarn needs for a project, and various pattern ideas. If you are going to bring your own loom, please contact FAVA for a Pre-Class loom conversation appointment with the instructor.
