Girl Scouts Badge Class - Inkle Loom Weaving

Girl Scouts Badge Class - Inkle Loom Weaving

April 15th from 2-5pm

Please only register if you are part of the Girl Scouts troop taking this class.

Inkle weaving is done on a simple one-sided loom that sets up quickly. You can easily make bands for all sorts of uses, book marks, hat bands, purse straps, bracelets, clothing trim, shoe laces and more. Students need to bring small scissors and small measuring tape. You will learn about setting up the loom and then weave on pre-warped looms. Looms may be purchased at the time of the class for $35 from the instructor.

Gina Talandis

Gina Talandis

Gina Talandis has been a fiber artist for over 20 years. She began her journey as a weaver and expanded her expertise as a spinner and needle felter. She has given workshops on weaving with a rigid heddle loom, drop spindle, spinning and needle felting. She participates in numerous demonstrations through her guild sharing her enthusiasm for the fiber arts. Gina is also a wood craftswoman and designs products to make her weaving and spinning more efficient. Gina can be found at home in her garden, workshop or at her spinning wheel or loom in Wellington, Ohio. Check out her website fiberwoodandclay.net for more resources.
