Course Description: We have all experienced the sadness of throwing away perfectly usable paper scraps. Perhaps you’ve got them stashed away in a drawer because you swear there will come a day when you find a use for them. The day has finally come for a perfect opportunity to take your scrap collection and recycle it into something new! During this workshop, we will cover basic recycled paper-making and paper painting techniques, and you will leave with your very own paper creations and know-how! Attendees will be provided a mould and deckle, access to an assortment of scrap materials and construction paper, sponges, electric blenders, and other basic materials for this workshop. Additional materials to bring along with you for experimentation might include scrap paper, loose threads and fiber scraps, newspaper, magazines, dried flowers, etc.
