Drawing Portraiture (Beginners Welcome)

Ages 16+
Saturdays July 13-August 10
2-4pm

Students would be guided through portraiture and self portraiture over the course of this class. Students will be instructed on how to draw faces from life, self portraits and more. By the end of the workshop, students should feel increased confidence in using methods such as sight-measurement, increased familiarity with human facial anatomy, and an understanding of how to draw using graphite.

Catie Perez-Strohmeyer

Catie Perez is an interdisciplinary artist from Cleveland, OH whose work focuses on lesbianism, religion, grief, and roots. She is currently earning her BFA in studio art with a concentration in Painting + Drawing from Ohio University. When she's not inhaling toxic paint fumes, you can find her reading, writing bad prose, dancing, or spending time outdoors.
