Introduction to Oil Painting
6-8pm
June 12-July17 (6 weeks)
Beginners or Intermediate welcome. This class will teach introductory oil painting methods. Students will learn about various oil painting techniques. Projects will include a variety of subject matters, in order to build the students' confidence in multiple areas.This class will give students an understanding of how to utilize different chemicals with oil paint.
All materials are included with the material fee.

Dana Juliano
Dana Juliano is a free-lance illustrator from Atlantic City, New Jersey. She majored in illustration at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree of Fine Arts.
She has shown her work at The Feve, Hanson Records, Oberlin Public Library and Kendal.
She has worked on private commissions since graduating in 2009.
She is currently the Assistant Manager at The Hope Collection, a fair trade, non-profit store in Oberlin. Since moving to Ohio, Dana has illustrated a book of a survivor's tale of the Holocaust for teenage readers called Brisko. She has been a featured artist for Chalk Walk for many years since her first chalk walk painting in 2013 and has taught paint and sip classes at FAVA!
Dana is a stylized portrait painter, she paints in acrylic for the ease of the medium but prefers oil paint.
She is inspired by nature, butterflies, birds, especially peacocks, animals, architecture and loves the 1920’s; flappers, bathing beauties and the fashion of that era.
FAVA reviews and considers all application for scholarship assistance. While we may not be able to provide a complete scholarship to all those who request it, we are committed to making our classes available to as many people as possible – regardless of individual financial circumstances. For this reason, it is important that all scholarship requests are received well in advance of the class starting date, so we may allocate our available funds accordingly. We may consider any of the following factors when determining eligibility for scholarships:
