Join us for this beginner friendly ceramic hand-building class. We will be making hand-built flowers to be used as paper weights or hung as wall decorations. We will use specialized pinching and coil building techniques to create these and you will be able to add surface texture, decoration and glaze the pieces too! FAVA will fire the ceramics for you and the finished work will be available for pick up within a month.
Bring a friend or come alone to this fun fall class!
$40 per person (includes instruction, clay, glazes and firing)

Erin McCarty
Erin McCarty is a mixed media artist from Henrietta, Ohio. She is the Director of Education and Outreach and an instructor at FAVA. She completed an MFA in Ceramics from West Virginia University in 2020, as well as an BFA in Painting and Drawing from Bowling Green State University. She specializes in Ceramics, Painting and Drawing. Her 3D artwork emphasizes texture, repetition and mark making on hand-built ceramic structures. The goal is to provide both the maker and the viewer a whimsical, saturated, and tactile experience as they interact with her objects and installations. Save
