Reid Wood is an artist and educator, who holds BA and MA degrees in Studio Art from Oberlin College, with additional study at the University of Akron, Kent State University, and the Visual Studies Workshop.
He works in a variety of media including drawing, printmaking, digital imaging, mixed media collage, artist’s books, mail art (since 1981, using the name State of Being), and performance art. His work has been exhibited in more than 80 venues regionally, nationally and internationally in including the Cleveland Museum of Art (May Show), SPACES Gallery (Cleveland), Zygote Press (Cleveland), Ginko Gallery (Oberlin), The Sculpture Center (NYC), Columbia College (Chicago), the Academia d’Arte di Pisa (Italy), Croxhapox, Gent (Belgium), and the Emily Harvey Foundation Gallery (NYC).
