Socially Distant Art for All!

While we all miss seeing you in person, we hope to keep you engaged in the visual arts. Here are some fun projects you can do at home to art your way through this pandemic. Check out new youth and adult projects, as well as interactive critique sessions and classes that will be added each week. Meet FAVA artist/instructors and guest artists from Northeast Ohio through studio tours, artist talks, and what they are creating during the COVID-19 pandemic. Learn more about upcoming FAVA exhibits like the Artist as Quiltmaker. We're looking forward to seeing you all in the FAVA galleries and studios on the other side of COVID-19.

Summer Class/Camp Update

Although FAVA will not be holding in-person classes this summer, we are excited to offer a variety of creative opportunities and an outlet for arts education for all ages in a new virtual setting! In our online course offerings, private lessons, and camps, we hope to offer a comparable level of personalization and instructor interaction as we have in our in-person courses. Free troubleshooting/critique sessions and fun family at-home activities are also available.

Summer Art Camp goes virtual!

Campers will come together online with FAVA artists and guest instructors for unique art-making experiences, along with opportunities to engage in other activities that will enhance their visual arts skills. Campers can connect with friends and make new ones through communication and collaboration with fellow campers.

Materials:  A kit with materials for the week’s art projects and other activities must be picked up at FAVA. There will be scheduled dates/times for you to pick the materials kit up at FAVA. Some supplies for on-own projects will not be included, as campers will create with things found at home or outside.

Monday–Thursday

Campers will check into their camps via Zoom on Monday at 9am for a brief introduction and welcome along with a review of the week’s schedule. Parents/guardians are welcome to stay and participate. Each day campers are able to login between 9-9:30am. Instructor led art sessions will be offered throughout the camp day.

Lunch and Breaktime

Children are welcome to stay connected on Zoom during these times to socialize with fellow campers, or may step away if they need a break and then log back in using the same Zoom link.

Friday – on own

Each Friday, campers will work from home to create a display of their art works to be exhibited in a virtual art show.

Saturday – Virtual Art Show

On Saturday, family members are invited to an exhibition of works created by campers during that week.  Announcements will be sent out prior to the show.

A discount of 25% off the camp tuition will apply for an additional child in the same family for the same camp week.
