FAVA Fiber Arts Studio Now Open!

We are excited to open a dedicated space for fiber arts education. We look forward to the Fiber Arts Studio being a place where weavers and other students can feel comfortable sharing ideas and techniques with other students and instructors, and progress in their fiber arts skills.  We hope it will be of great benefit in drawing people to create and develop lifelong skills.

Students will have the opportunity to reserve looms to work on projects at their own pace in an open studio setting or enroll in workshops to have fun experiencing something new.

To reserve a loom for the month of January call 440-774-7158 or email pam@fava.org

Updated Mask and Vaccination Policy

As you know, FAVA recently reopened our galleries and has started scheduling summer camps and classes. In order to ensure the safety of all of FAVA’s participants (and make sure we can stay open!), we need your help.

Due to the unfolding situation with variants of Covid-19 and the updated CDC guidance for mask usage, FAVA will require masks for all visitors to FAVA’s galleries as well as class participants and teachers regardless of vaccination status. We also ask that visitors and participants maintain six feet of distance.  FAVA will continue to monitor the situation and update our policies as appropriate.

FAVA will require proof of vaccination for all class teachers and students ages 5+ starting January 15, 2022. We want to ensure that we are providing the safest learning environment for all of our teaching partners and students. Please submit your proof of vaccination either via email to pam@fava.org, mail a copy attn: Pam to FAVA, 39 South Main Street suite 210, Oberlin, Ohio 44074, or stop in during open hours with your vaccine card so we can make a copy for your file. You will only need to submit proof of vaccination status once, regardless of the number of classes you’re taking.

To see further information about Covid-19 spread in Lorain County, please visit the CDC’s county map here: https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#county-view
For the latest on CDC guidelines, please visit their website here: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html

Thank you for your cooperation, and for all of your support of FAVA during this time. We look forward to a safe and healthy season for all.

Life Drawing Open Studio

Due to the recent rise in Covid cases, FAVA has put into place a vaccination policy, which will require all teachers and students to be vaccinated. Because the Life Drawing Open Studio is on a drop-in basis, a decision was made to discontinue it until we feel it is safe to offer it again.  We thank you for your patience and consideration as we work to provide a safe environment for teachers and students.
