Connect to a Cause Day with Community Foundation of Lorain County!

Posted on 09/03/20

FAVA will Participate in the First Connect to a Cause Day on September 17

FAVA will partner with Community Foundation of Lorain County to participate in Connect to a Cause Day, a crowdfunding campaign, in celebration of the Community Foundation’s 40thanniversary on Thursday, September 17. Through the creation of a catalog, donors can ‘shop’ the catalog and support local non-profits by directly donating to the organization.

The 12-hour online fundraiser allows donations to go directly to non-profits, which is a perfect way to help participating agencies plan for today and make sure Lorain County continues to be a great place to live and work – forever. Donors can visit Peoplewhocare.org to find a cause they care about and donate anytime from 8:00 am - 8:00 pm online or by dropping off checks to the Community Foundation.

In addition to the dollars raised that day, thanks to the Community Foundation Board of Directors, an additional $40,000 will be distributed amongst the participants.

“Connect to a Cause Day is an opportunity to support our non-profits that truly support our community,” said Brittany Lovett, Marketing & Communications Officer at Community Foundation of Lorain County. “For 12 hours, organizations and individuals will rally to support amazing and important causes that make Lorain County a great place to live, work and play.”
