Valentines Day Wheel Throwing
Ages 18+
Get your hands dirty together in this no-pressure, just having fun workshop. During the class you and your partner will share a potting wheel, taking turns practicing throwing clay. The instructor will give a short demo and assist all during. ages 18+ , couples of all kinds welcome (friends, family, LGBTQIA+ friendly). Sharing a wheel will give you a chance to watch, try, laugh, and create together. No clay experience necessary.

Amie Sell
I'm a sculptor who works in ceramic and mixed media. After years of working on tedious, temporary art works, I rediscovered ceramics in 2019 and became fully committed to mastering the craft. This gave me first-hand experience working on teams that successfully realized large-scale projects and how to craft & design meaningfully sculptures. I enjoy making playful sculptures and functional objects that express my love of the earth and the interconnectedness of nature.
scholarships & aid
FAVA reviews and considers all application for scholarship assistance. While we may not be able to provide a complete scholarship to all those who request it, we are committed to making our classes available to as many people as possible – regardless of individual financial circumstances. For this reason, it is important that all scholarship requests are received well in advance of the class starting date, so we may allocate our available funds accordingly. We may consider any of the following factors when determining eligibility for scholarships:
- Annual family income
- Individual or special circumstances
- Whether the applicant qualifies for the National Free/Reduced Price School Lunch program
(for students age 18 & younger)
**FAVA also encourages applicants to consider partial scholarship assistance, in which case the student only pays some portion of the class tuition.
All information will be kept confidential and will be used solely to determine the amount of scholarship assistance to be provided.
